Easter Events For You and Your Seeking Friends

When it comes to sharing why we believe what we believe, the Bible reminds us to "make the most of every opportunity" (Colossians 4:5). Here are four opportunities to not only strengthen your faith but also introduce your faith to
others.
"Hope Restored" (Palm Sunday, April 13, 10 a.m.). Our Sunday morning series continues this Sunday. When you're in the darkness of hopelessness, it's better to wait on the Lord instead of desperately following the light of your own limited
understanding. That's what Isaiah 50 teaches us, and it's our text this Palm Sunday. I'm sure you can see how this could be helpful for your seeking friends to hear. Catch up with the series at HillcrestAustin.org/Sermons.
Winning Ways Banquet (Sunday, April 13, 6 p.m.). This annual banquet is a perfect evangelism tool. Jay Simpson has mad skills when it comes to BBQ, and that alone should gain the respect of any friend you bring! In addition, you'll like the
speaker for this year's banquet. Mary Jo Sharp is a university professor who will speak on the subject, "Making Your Case for the Resurrection." The deadline for purchasing tickets is Thursday, April 10. Find out more at
HillcrestAustin.org/WinningWaysBanquet.
Good Friday Service (Friday, April 18, 7 p.m.). The cross stands as the central symbol of Christianity. Can you explain why? Our Good Friday service will help you and your seeking friend understand the significance of Christ's death. In fact,
the significance of his death was predicted 800 years before it happened. We'll discover that in a meditation on Isaiah 53. The Lord's Supper will be observed.
Easter Sunday Service (Sunday, April 20, 10 a.m.). At our Winning Ways Banquet we'll discover proof of Christ's resurrection, but what does Christ's resurrection prove? In other words, what difference does it make for daily
living? That's what we'll talk about on Easter Sunday, so think about someone who needs to hear that.
Did you know in an average lifespan we'll spend a total of six months sitting at traffic lights, one year looking for misplaced objects, four years in housework, and five years waiting in lines? At the end of life, how much time will have been spent
sharing our faith? Let's "make the most of every opportunity" to do just that!
