O Come Let Us Adore Him: Christmas Eve at Hillcrest

Come celebrate the birth of Jesus with us this Wednesday, Christmas Eve, at 6pm.  I think even your youngest children and grandchildren will enjoy the carols, the candles, and the candy canes.

Candy canes?

Yep.  As part of this year's Christmas Eve celebration, I'm going to read a kids book called The Legend of the Candy Cane.  You might know that in 1670, a German choirmaster formed candy sticks into canes to represent a shepherd's staff, and he used the confection as a part of the Nativity service.  At this week's service, the kids will help me pass out candy canes to those in attendance.

I'm looking forward to being a part of your family's Christmas celebration!
