Here is this week's WINNING WAYS . . . .
"I Didn't Do It On Purpose"
by Tom Goodman
When my boys were small, sometimes I would walk into their play room and find a drink spilled or a toy broken. They would reassure me, "I didn't do it on purpose, Daddy." They had quickly discovered that if something wasn't done on
purpose, they wouldn't get in trouble.
But we get in trouble with God precisely for those things that are not done "on purpose."
Too often we live life by accident instead of on purpose. This week we begin a series of Sunday morning messages called "On-Purpose Living." We'll learn from the Bible how to take charge of our lives. We're going to look at
on-purpose praying, on-purpose Bible study, how to be more purposeful in our families and not waste the brief time we have together. We're going to learn what God has to say about finding meaning as a single adult and how to find true love
instead of just accidentally falling into a relationship that's the most convenient. I hope you'll bring someone with you to these studies each week, because God wants each of us living an on-purpose life. In fact, I'll give you a list of
topics ahead of time is so that you can start praying about particular people you should bring to particular studies. God wants us living life on-purpose.
See you at 8:30 or 10:45!
